Hullo, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 8th October 2018. This weeks New Moon very much puts the emphasis on relationships. However with it also squaring the potent and energies of Pluto, any tie where there is a tendency for politics, or for one party to be overbearing or to assert their needs more selfishly, can cause some issues. Also this New Moon tangles with Neptune so some underlying rather more subconscious vibes can creep into the piece too.

But with Mercury moving into the sign of Scorpio, joining up with the retrograde Venus and also Jupiter, and its angle to Saturn from Thursday through to Sunday, if we can look beneath the surface and analyse the facts of situations, there is an opportunity to unlock some solutions.

All this is going to require degree of patience because the two planets of relating Venus, itself creating a less progressive energy with its rewind, is also squaring up to Mars. One upside of this is that with Mars in the sign of Aquarius, if we can bear in mind the impact that decisions or actions or behaviours have more collectively, and can help us to step above or personal considerations.

However generally, if there are any ties or bonds in our worlds which are flowing less sweetly, this is a week when there can be greater politics, tensions and perhaps even outright confrontation.

On the upside the Sun's passage through Libra, urges us to be as democratic and as fair-minded as possible. Even when people may frustrate us, or even when we frustrate them, there is always a bigger picture and a bigger reason for why this happens, and usually at some level it is down to poor or less than ideal communication. So the lesson of this week for us all is to work on our listening skills as best we can.
