Hullo, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 22nd October 2018. This week sees the Sun make its way into the sign of Scorpio. Here he joins up with the reversing Venus, the talk and thought Mercury, and the expansive energies of Jupiter. All this gives an opportunity to us all to transform our circumstances, with a deeper understanding of both practical considerations and emotional strands too.

But it certainly is an action packed week, because the Sun meets with the retrograde Venus from Wednesday through to Saturday, and both are opposed by the restless energies of Uranus, which itself gathers round the Full Moon of Taurus in midweek. Now, because all these energies are contained in Fixed signs, and the Nodal Axis (Leo/Aquarius) crosses the opposition, a Grand Fixed Cross is forged.

All this points towards the need for change and transformation, but because both the Sun and Venus forge a very stable alliance with the steadying influence of Saturn, in the sign of Capricorn, there is also an opportunity to strengthen the the areas which are actually working very well. So I think it's probable that there's going to be a clear out, perhaps of the things we've been resisting the most, but beneath this there is the need to appreciate the underlying security and stability, which is truly worthwhile in our situations.
