Hullo, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 17th December. The Sun forges a great link with Uranus this week, and this trine encourages us to be more open minded around all aspects of our situation. The Sun in Sagittarius is a generally very fluid and go-getting influence, and with the support of Uranus this combination is asking us to step outside the norm be more imaginative, and even embrace more quirky sides of life. Perhaps we can apply this to last minute Christmas gift ideas. Tuesday to Sunday sees Mercury also combining with Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, and this suggests that some good news can break through, perhaps when we are least expecting it and that positivity in general can pay off.

With Venus forging a stabilising link to Saturn from Monday to Thursday, any sincere relationship can also be strengthened. Mars is also forging a very energising link with Pluto. These two are the co-rulers of Scorpio, so you can imagine the passion that they can generate. If there is something we are involved with that is really priming our enthusiasm, this aspect can give us tremendous willpower to see it through.

However a big change occurs on Saturday when the Sun powers into Capricorn. This is the tenth zodiac sign, and very much to do with stability, sustained effort, and taking our responsibilities seriously. Quite a counter-point on to the week's earlier vibe. On the same day there is though a Full Moon in the sign of Cancer. So however much we are reminded to attend perhaps the last minute Christmas preparations at a practical level, it is going to be important to stay tuned emotionally as well.
