Hullo, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 24th December. Mercury emerges from shadow on Christmas Eve. Yes, it is true that he started to travel in a forward direction from 6th December and re-entered Sagittarius on the 13th, but he only returns to the point where the retrograde began on 17th November 13° Sagittarius, on the 24th. Any issue which has been frustratingly slow to progress, especially involving contracts, orders, mail, agreements, or even if there has been an overwhelming sense of sensitivity and low energy, as Mercury rules the nervous system, well, at last things can start to move forwards. But this isn't probably going to happen fully until Thursday, when Mercury ends its ongoing right angle with Neptune, which has proved to be so very enervating.

Monday also sees the last day of a delightful link between Venus and Neptune, which casts the energies of Neptune in a much better light. Sensitivity and diplomacy can work wonders in a situation that requires a deft touch, and an ability to tune into our inner voices. Mind, Christmas Eve does throw up a challenge in the guise of the Cancer Moon's right angle to Uranus, which can lead to irritability, impatience, and exasperation - perhaps especially with anyone who chooses to change the Christmas schedule without any pre-discussion, at the last minute.

But from Christmas Day Venus and Pluto forge an absolutely beautiful link, one which can help us all to appreciate the people in our lives who really matter. Even if we ordinarily have good relationships with our partner, should we have one, family members or friends, we can get a much deeper level of connection and appreciation of what they bring to our worlds.

Also all this week Jupiter is forging a fine link to Saturn. If you find yourself talking about a business venture, or some kind of entrepreneurial idea or plan with someone you encounter through all the festive gatherings, you could receive a lot of positive feedback which proves to lift and inspire.

That said there is a Quarter Moon in Libra as the week draws to a close, and as we prepare to transit into the last day of 2018 it's possible that however hard we try to be diplomatic to someone we find a little awkward or overbearing, they may fail to see the generosity of spirit that is being expressed.
