Hullo, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 31st December. Happy New Year, and 2019 starts in some fiery style as Mars bustles its way back into its home zone of Aries. With Uranus in this zodiac sign angling to Mercury, there can be lots of buzzy ideas to the fore that motivates us to take the initiative. Monday to Thursday also sees a fine link between Venus and Pluto, continuing on from last week's transit. Once more we are being reminded to recognise and appreciate the people who are really important to us.

Complications can however emerge from Thursday to Sunday with Jupiter's Square to Neptune. This is probably one of the most idealistic links of all and can lead to heightened sensitivity, but also unrealistic expectations pr claims which have simply no substance. We can though embrace this aspect positively and get our heads into any Christmas books we are given, or listen to any music, and embrace the more escapist sides of our natures.

With the Sun combining with Saturn all week, culminating in the Solar Eclipse of Sunday in Capricorn, more earthy and worldly considerations probably won't be very far from our gaze. Ironically Uranus ends a five and half month backward journey on Sunday, I say ironic because of course this is the planet of rebellion. The combination between the Sun and Saturn is about as counterintuitive to rebellion as you can possibly get, so if there are things that we are embracing that are more novel innovative or even radical, it may create a degree of resistance from the more conservative forces and people we encounter.
