Hello, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 11th August 2014.   

The affect of last week’s Full Moon will continue to be felt this week. The principle driver behind this is likely to be the oppressive energies of Saturn. Yet this is asking us to balance out hope with realism. A fantasy influence also runs on all this week, on the quincunx between Neptune and Jupiter. These planets are the rulers of Pisces. In this angle, they are not in direct conflict, more working on two very different levels, so to counter any negativity, the trick is going to keep the feet firmly on terra firma.

On Tuesday, Venus glides into Leo, where she will strut her stuff for the following 28 days. From Friday through to Sunday she combines brilliantly with Jupiter. This is one of the most gorgeous of aspects, particularly in Leo pushes us all to enjoy the good things in life, to be social and engage in mixing and mingling. For some people it could lead to significant romantic developments.

However this particular aspect can also be one of excess, and when it comes to the calorific goodies, alcohol, and any indulgence it can see us find it hard to resist anything remotely desirable. If you have been on a diet, it could take a pounding under the auspices of this.

Finally on Friday Mercury zips into Virgo, one of the two signs that it governs. For the following three weeks the need for extra care, attention to detail, precision, meticulousness, or whatever you want to call it, is going to be high. However, this can also be a very positive transit, helping us to think about the ways we can bring practical improvements to our life.
